Hi James, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Working in the food and beverage industry for over 10+ years is how I got started with my business.
I saw a need for people needing bartenders for private events, so I wanted to turn my knowledge and expertise into a business.
I got where I am today by working my way up in the industry from bar backing, serving, bartending to the management of bars and hotels.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When I first started yes, I had a lot of bumps in the road. Some of my struggles along the way were marketing, and building a brand, finding out what it takes to do an event and the amount of time it takes to set up, and the type of equipment I needed.

What makes me proud brand-wise is the ability to create memorable experiences and see smiles on a client’s face and their guest. Elite Bartending offers services for weddings and any special occasion big or small. We also do online bartender training as well.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
What has worked well for me is networking through colleagues and doing collaborations with other small businesses to market and help with branding.
