Life & Work with Generation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Generation.

Hi Generation, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I started music when I was 15. I met who is now my best friend named, Keesh my freshman year in high school. He was multi-talented and did the music. Eventually, we talked and he talked me into doing a song with him. After that, I fell in love with making music finding out it’s my best way to express myself and how I feel.

I started to take it seriously and have been pushing ever since. I’ve had more showcases than I can count. I’ve traveled to multiple states to perform and won multiple showcases, many including a prize. I’ve had rough moments and many many doors shut in my face but it never stopped me from kicking it right back open. This dream of mine I’ll make a reality the work never stops.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been an exhilarating journey and learn every step I take. I’ve had way more than enough doors shut in my face but I will never let that stop me from breaking the barriers and continuing forward.

I feel that nothing great in life comes easy you have to put in the effort and work that comes with it. Never take shortcuts because you could miss key learning tools and growth that come with the experience. Through every struggle, I will strive.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a music artist. I specialize in crowd captivation with big energy every time I perform. I’m known for my great attitude, my energy, and my look. I feel that my hair being different and my energy being so unmatched sets me apart from the rest.

I’m proud of when the crowd interacts with me and just lives in those moments with me and everyone having a good time. I want to send a positive message within my music and hope to be able to influence the world.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Never quit. It’s ok to be different. Don’t let another opinion destroy your confidence in doing great things. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure meaning what someone won’t like the next person will.

Remember, remember, remember. YOU CANNOT PLEASE EVERYONE as long as YOU’RE HAPPY that’s all that matters. Be proud of the energy you put out and it’ll reciprocate to you 10x.
