Hi Janiqwa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Since childhood, I’ve always been connected to the unseen world and curious about metaphysical concepts. However, like many people, I overlooked the deeper meaning of life and suppressed many of my spiritual gifts. Even though I acquired material things and chose the typical professional route, I thought I should take in life, there were many times I felt a void.
I was looking for more. About 13 years ago, while still working in Corporate America as a Software Engineer, I formally started directing my thoughts and actions towards elevating my consciousness, self-care, fulfilling my purpose in life, and understanding various forms of spirituality. Thus, began what can be viewed as my “spiritual journey.” Since then, I have visited Africa five times and dug deeper into my cultural roots. Throughout this journey, many things were revealed to me such as effective ways to overcome life’s challenges, my destiny, spiritual gifts, and understanding of my ancestral background.
These things came to me intuitively and through spiritual guidance from mentors. During this time, I was compelled to assist others in having clarity about life, spirituality, and holistic living. I also felt guided to bring awareness of traditional African culture and its impact on the world. I found my destiny. My professional background is in Engineering and I have been a lover of art all my life. So, I am a problem solver by nature and an Artist. I enjoy helping others with problem resolution, unlocking their own magick, and understanding ancient spiritual sciences.
To heal oneself and be driven by your own unique destiny gives many people the motivation they need in life. I have seen positive effects, measurable impact, and evolution in my own life to provide personal testimony. This all gives me passion as a High Priestess and Manifestation Coach.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. Some of the main difficulties were things like transitioning from a “9 to 5” regularly paying job to follow my destiny and building a business that would support my lifestyle. Also, I was unable to share much of my journey with others when I first started because many people did not understand spiritual belief systems outside of the more popular forms of religion. I would have been labeled as a Witch amongst other things.
This is still the case today. However, at the time I went through my spiritual awakening, I chose to keep it secret to protect my precious moments and experiences. Now, I am more open about my spiritual beliefs but still, keep my precious moments and practices to myself.
As I have become more open, I have noticed that even the terms witch and priestess are being embraced and well accepted by many people now. The terms are not necessarily interchangeable but at least it seems that people are trying to broaden their understanding.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the owner and CEO of Isis Moon. Isis Moon is a Spiritual Oasis where I provide Spiritual Life Coaching (mind, body, and soul consultations), Natural and Metaphysical Healing Modalities, Handmade Home and Personal Care Products, African Cultural Events, Retreats, and Spiritual “Experiences.” Our healing specialization is in womb wellness and African indigenous herbal solutions. It is the Spiritual “experiences” and manifestations that people encounter when working with me that set me and my business apart from others.
The services and products are designed to promote a destiny-driven, natural lifestyle. A lifestyle that is grounded in living in harmony with the Earth, solidarity with the people of the community, spiritual enlightenment, and cultural preservation. The core of all my services and products are aimed towards helping others unlock their own magick and manifest intentions based on their destiny. With this purpose in mind, I have authored a series of books and journals now being sold on Amazon called “Goddess Memoirs”.
Isis Moon is not a religious center nor connected to any specific religion. It is a cultural and holistic organization with services and events that are based on traditional African concepts and culture.
I am most proud of the fact that the majority of my clients and people that I’ve helped along the way have seen amazing results and beneficial changes in their lives. Out of my own gratitude and spiritual Aśę (power), I am able to pour into the lives of others to help them experience the beauty of life.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Within the next five years, Isis Moon will expand to a full womb wellness center, travel guidance to specific countries in Africa, and a Spiritual Retreat Oasis. The retreat services will be located on a beautiful landscape in a south Georgia area of the Gullah Geechee Corridor with small farming and animal healing. It will provide overnight stay as an option and targeted to bring experiences that could be comparable to other retreat centers in places such as Sedona, Arizona.
Currently, I am looking for financial funding and support for marketing purposes to expand our following and mainly to purchase land for building expansion. I will be developing a full-service cultural and holistic center as a physical location that is visited by others and hosts retreats.
