Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Stephenson.
Hi Courtney, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always had a love for creating beautiful spaces. After years of designing my own homes, giving paint color and furniture advice to friends, and studying traditional design mixed with feng shui… I decided to turn my passion into a business, and Courtney Morgan Interiors was born.
Formed by a love of blending aesthetics and energy clearing, I strive to create a feeling in spaces while tailoring that to my client’s personal styles. I started out small, by helping friends and family not only with design advice but with decluttering and clearing energy in their homes as well. It can be easy to feel stuck in life sometimes, and our homes can often reflect that feeling without us even being aware.
Our homes are our havens, therefore it is important to pay attention to how we feel in the space as well as the aesthetic appeal. I have found it incredibly rewarding to assist others in finding the balance between these two things, and how much there is a need for that, especially in our world today.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have definitely been some obstacles along the way. I lost my job in 2020 due to Covid-19, as well as experiencing a lot of personal struggles such as the dissolution of a marriage and difficulties with family dynamics. It would probably be safe to say that I hit rock bottom last year in many ways, as I am sure lots of us did. It was hard to see at the time, but now I look back and realize that the difficulties were a blessing.
Starting completely over in every way allowed me to reinvent myself and my life, on my terms, for the first time ever. With a heightened perspective from where I am now, I recognize that the beautiful thing about rock bottom is that there is nowhere to go but up.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an interior designer and intuitive energy reader. I create feelings and vibes in spaces by tailoring that to my client’s personal style, offering a blend of traditional design with feng shui and energy clearing.
I have a passion for merging the two worlds of aesthetics and energy, and I strive to create spaces that evoke the desired outcome of the client not only with how a space looks but also how it feels. I offer full-service design, feng shui, and remote services as well.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
I learned that perspective is everything. In times of crisis it is important to remember what truly matters, like our connection with ourselves and the people around us, taking care of one another, and our humanity.
