Founded in 1989 by Mark D. Weisner, Bear Foot Enterprises Inc. (DBA – BEAR FOOT SPORTS) has been one of the premier sports marketing and special event producers in the South East for more than 25 years. Bear Foot Sports has produced over 550 events including Sports Festivals, Mt. Bike Races, Multi Sports Events, Soccer Six Tournaments, Running Races, Concerts, and Beer Festivals.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all, there are always challenges, things change all the time you have to adapt.
As you know, we’re big fans of Bear Foot Sports. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Giving Back Since its inception, the company’s philosophy has been to provide the highest-quality event management and promotions that deliver a little extra, while at the same time giving back to the communities in which it does business. In fact, a portion of all proceeds from many events directly benefit area charity organizations.
To date, the company has helped to raise more than $275,000 to non-profit organizations, including… Hilton Head Rotary Club, Hilton Head Sunshine Rotary Club, Bluffton Self Help, Hilton Head High School Athletics, May River High School, Coastal Conservation Association, Ronald McDonald House Charities© (RMHC©) of the Coastal Empire, CODA, The Children’s Memorial Garden, Beaufort County Mental Health, Hilton Head Aquatics, Region 9 Special Olympics, Bluffton Fins Swim Team, and many others.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Mark Weisner is the President and Founder of Bear Foot Enterprises Inc., the parent company of Bear Foot Sports. Prior to forming his own company, Weisner spent seven years as a sales manager in the radio and broadcasting industry. Additionally, Weisner opened Bluffton Trading Post (Beer Emporium, Wine Cellar, Cafe, and Market).
