Ashlee, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My love of lashes began as a customer and grew into an obsession to find the perfect ones!
I love the confidence that lashes bring and were determined to bring that to ALL women. I never dreamt of being a CEO so if I can do it, any woman can! I was a school bus driver turned beauty boss with a love for luxe looks.
I spent my start-up years growing the brand organically through social media. My husband and I eventually became known as the “lash uber” because we would deliver lashes day in and day out as demand grew!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road to success is never smooth.
It’s so important for women to understand that roadblocks can be blessings in disguise. I want women to know that they can do anything they want in life, that they don’t have to live tied to a job. I took the leap and left a government job with benefits to start an eyelash empire!
I didn’t have a business background but I had faith in my vision. It’s never too late to be anyone you want to be and follow your dreams. The journey is certainly not always easy but it’s important to take lessons from your losses.

Mink Envy Lashes & Accessories are the #1 eyelashes in Maryland and home of the ORIGINAL lash vending machine with now 10 locations! Mink Envy Lashes is a Global Lash Brand Owned by Ashlee Sarai. Mink Envy launched in November 2018 as a local brand in Baltimore, MD.
We started out doing local pick-up and deliveries in Baltimore city and county daily until early 2019 when the demand for our eyelashes increased so overwhelmingly that we had to hire someone to take over in-person sales. At this time, we launched our website. We started our website and have grown quickly ever since with over 50,000+ orders and over 94,000 Instagram followers.
In late 2020 due to the continuous growth, popularity, and demand of our products in Maryland and other states, we decided to add Eye Lash Vending Machines to our brand. We currently have 10 lash vending machines In 10 Malls in MD, PA, NY, NJ, AND DE and plan to expand. Our mission is to provide High-Quality custom Eyelashes to anyone who loves eyelashes or wants to spice up their look as needed!
We take pride in making our customers feel more beautiful than they already are. We are incredibly overwhelmed with the amount of support and love that we have received in our business time. We want to continue to fulfill all of your lash and beauty needs!
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I think that we create our own luck!
Luck is something that you earn through hard work, drive, passion, and the refusal to give up! We’ve grown tremendously, but we started as “the lash uber” delivering lashes door by door.
As demand grew, so did we, but we definitely created this opportunity through our efforts and passion for the brand.
