Today we’d like to introduce you to Cosette DeMille.
Hi Cosette, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I found my love for writing at a very young age and began a blog at cosettedemille.com at 15. I wrote my first book at age 8 which sounds crazy. It was the same one that was published on my sixteenth birthday.
I published my first book on Amazon right at 16. Published my second book at age 17 and had a book signing for the launch of it at Mystic Journey Bookstore in Venice, CA which sold out completely. I published my latest book in 2020 which is on Amazon titled “Parisian Poetry” and features both English and french.
I am now working on my beauty brand @DeMilleBeauty & activity working to expand the site with our herbal products and healing services. Herbs have been a passion of mine since before I could remember. My goal is to share their beauty and power with the world.
Now, I work in my Los Angeles studio on multiple art and business ventures. I published my first set of NFTs back in August 2021 and have been a crypto consultant since I purchased bitcoin back in 2013.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s not as easy as it seems to publish 3 books before the age of 21 or to build multiple brands only using social media. It’s also not as hard as it seems it simply takes dedication and a ton of drive.
Anyone can do it if you have the vision and work to make it come to life.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My passions have always been surrounding herbalism, art & healing work and I finally found a way to combine them all. I created a tribe of indigos called @infiniteindigos that I originally called Indigos United but later changed. I would host beach clean-ups, vegan potlucks, sound baths, & guided meditations.
I would lead them myself and invite everyone through social media and accept donations. They were quite successful after a while and I actually met some of my best friends to this day at those events I hosted. I didn’t know it then but I was laying the foundation for an empire of herbalism & fun!
We all came together and saw the bigger picture. Just a few strangers on the beach chatting but making bigger waves than most. We were holding space for something even we couldn’t see yet.
At DeMille beauty, I really want to focus on delivering healing products that actually work. Products that are sewn with love and light and beautiful herbs that are charged with intention. I think it’s really about what goes into something that matters and we’re only using the best of the best.
We want to create a new level in the beauty industry. We’re stepping it up and inspiring everyone to as well. Not only do we believe in organic, vegan, cruelty-free, beauty but we are bringing crystal-charged and reiki infused beauty products.
The long-term goal would be to build a healing center focused on all things that we are lacking in society. Herbalism, healthy eating, gardening, meditation, yoga, music, art, etc. I’d love to find experts in every field and bring them together to heal the world and remind us of all of our magical powers.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I owe everything to my family and friends that have led me to where I am today. Without them, I would truly have nothing and probably not be where I am.
I am so grateful for the people who have helped me get here. I am beyond blessed and exhilarated to be standing where I am. We have barely tapped the surface. This is just the beginning.
