LaTricia’s ultimate goal in life is to encourage bold authenticity in others, whether through fashion or personality, and helping to bring clarity and diverse perspectives together to achieve goals that empower everyone.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not always been an easy road. While accomplishing many goals may have looked glamorous, Trish has had her share of battles to also overcome. Severe anxiety and depression are daily obstacles LaTricia has had to make a conscious effort to overcome. Along with being new to politics, campaigning, and networking were also uncomfortable practices that forced growth and broadened her horizons.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
For Trish, work isn’t work, it’s a hobby. While it does bring profit and help her to take care of her family, at her core, she’s an artist.
“I prefer my designs to be aesthetically pleasing but with an heir of, “how’d she do that?!?” I prefer to make things that are so exquisitely designed that, at first glance, you don’t notice how complex they are. With my specialty being bridal and couture avant-garde, I am known for accomplishing the most challenging work with often very stringent timelines. Outside of designing, I would have to say that I am most proud of the fact that I am now an elected official. For that reason alone, I would have to say that I’m known for several things, and I honestly like the fact that I can’t be put into just one box.
I will say, however, that the things that sets me apart from others is my integrity and attention to detail.”
What do you think about happiness?
Family and nature are two things that will always make me happy. I have always loved being in the presence of large family gatherings, and the really make me feel accepted when life gets tough! Nature, more specifically, beaches and mountains are so relaxing and captivating to me. They both capture the magnitude of the earths force and the gentleness of its pure beauty, and both environments ground me and bring me peace.
