Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Foster.
Hi Kayla, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hey there! I’m Kayla Foster, and I am a mother of one from Texas, now living in Georgia. I’ve always had an attraction towards weddings and love.
I cannot survive without my weekly planner and to-do lists. I’m that friend that needs to know ALL the details for simply going out to dinner. Ever since I can remember, I was planning out everything out on paper! Detailed Christmas lists to give to my mom, planning fake themed parties (You should have seen the way a created a floor plan and a spreadsheet for my food tables at my Sweet 16!), and having a theknot.com account at way to young of an age, so I could plan weddings. Either I was crazy or destined for a career in event planning.
Seeing how happy and in love a couple is after I help make their wedding day as perfect as possible is something I would like to experience for as long as I can!
With my business, I focus on client connections and having fun. There are so many options of new traditions to add to your wedding to make it personal and really a celebration of you as a couple!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
So far, it has been great! I have had several changes to the way I do business through trial and error or simply finding a better way to go about things. No two weddings are alike, and that is one thing I love about this career!
We’ve been impressed with Behind The Veil with Kayla, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Behind The Veil specializes in helping couples create unique wedding experiences while educating them on traditions and discovering new ones as weddings evolve. I want my couples to feel like we are friends, and they can come to me with anything going on and focus on that client connection. From day-of coordination to full-service planning, I strive to make a quality connection and welcome couples of all ethnicities, races, and those in the lgbtq+ community.
Couples deserve to have a stress-free wedding day. A coordinator is essential to ensure everything runs according to your plans. I believe having a coordinator should be a necessity and not seen as just a luxury.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I live in small town Brunswick, but travel to Savannah, Georgia for almost all of my weddings! Savannah is such a beautiful, historic town, and there truly is something for every style of couple!
