Daily Inspiration: Meet Kayla Lemon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Lemon.

Hi Kayla, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Well, where do I start exactly? I have planted so many seeds over the years that are finally starting to sprout!

I’m originally from Sandersville, GA. I became a mom at 19, and ever since then, my mindset has been I could not fall victim to my circumstances or environment (I come from public housing). So, I left home to do what I knew best at the time, and that was go to college. I have a degree in healthcare administration, but after a year of working in corporate America, I felt like it was not serving me my true purpose.

I’ve always been interested in real estate investing cause my grandfather remodel homes for a living. However, due to lack of the field exposure, I never knew any realtors personally, nor did I have the knowledge and resources. I stopped saying that could be me and started saying ok, I can do that. So, I just started… with nothing but the willpower to learn! I started learning and building relationships, but I never knew those relationships would push me into wanting to help others. That’s what made me become a realtor, so here I am with the title realtor, but anyone who is a great realtor will tell you… it’s a field where you wear many hats to guide your clients to the closing table, and I thoroughly enjoy wearing them!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No! Far from it! However, I’m a product of what happens if you just keep going! I did not let the fact I had a daughter young stop me from going off to college and getting a post-secondary education, nor did I let the lack of resources stop me from pursuing my dreams of getting into real estate.

I’m very resilient, and that’s something I truly admire about myself. I’ve worked the minimum wage jobs, I’ve dropped out of college and reenrolled, I’ve been sent the “Sorry to inform you emails,” I’ve went times where I just did not know HOW or WHEN, but I just never let any of it discourage me. I knew the amount of time, work, and sacrifices I had made, so letting one door not bulging or closing did not stop me from continuing on.

And I can honestly say all of my experiences and struggles shaped me into the woman I am today, so I always fully embrace them.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a licensed realtor in the state of Georgia. I get to be a part of a journey that many do not think is obtainable… until they try. My goal as a realtor is to not only assist ready willing, and able buyers but also educate and prepare clients for one of the largest yet most rewarding purchases of their life. The thing that sets me apart from others is I actually care. The relationship I have with clients and the service I provide is far from transactional. Yes, I earn a commission check at closing, but the journey to is always geared towards each client’s personal needs.

If you’re looking to buy, sell, lease, or invest in the Chatham, Liberty, Bryan, and Effingham County areas reach out to me and let’s get started! I’m always accepting new clients.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Savannah is truly a beautiful city! Love the weather, food, and views. The city is historic and full of culture, but my favorite part is driving out to Tybee. It’s just the perfect place to sit and relax.
