I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been easy at all specially, I don’t think any sort of business has it easy nowadays. It’s always a struggle with hiring and finding good people that is committed to our craft. We are especially grateful for the trust you have placed in us during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was our first-year anniversary when we have to shot down our dining room and keep the restaurant running on skeleton crew. The support of the community has allowed us to keep our doors open and continue to serve our community with healthy and nutritious food.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My big goal as a chef is to be the kind of leader that I always wished I had. I want to mentor and inspire my team, share my knowledge and experience, and help them become better chefs, better person, a better version of yourself. That’s what drives me to keep working hard and improving every day. And I’m confident that it’ll help everyone succeed in their own goals!
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
When we take care of our bodies by eating nutritious foods, we are not only benefiting ourselves, but we are also contributing to the health of our economy. Unhealthy diets and sedentary lifestyles have been linked to a variety of chronic health conditions that are expensive to treat. In contrast, eating a healthy diet and maintaining an active lifestyle can reduce healthcare costs and increase productivity.
By investing in our health and well-being, we are ultimately investing in the future of our society.
While medicine is an important tool for treating illness and disease, prevention is always the best course of action. By adopting healthy eating habits, we can reduce our risk of developing chronic diseases and avoid the need for medical intervention. This not only benefits our individual health but also helps to alleviate the strain on our healthcare system. By taking responsibility for our own health through healthy eating and other lifestyle choices, we can create a healthier and more sustainable future for ourselves and our communities.
