Meet Michelle McClain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle McClain.

Michelle McClain

Hi Michelle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I love people, and I love to have soul-stirring conversations. I have always had the ability to connect with people and have great conversations. Because of that skillset, During the pandemic, I began having Real Talk with various individuals about their life journeys and testimonies and topics that are concerning. I have had some Real Talk with Pastors, Doctors, Entrepreneurs, Friends, Acquaintances, Strangers, and folks alike about their various journeys/testimonies, the lessons learned, and the blessings afforded upon them because of it and their victories. This platform allows me to dive into the hearts and souls of my guests’ journeys and testimonies and provides an atmosphere for honest and vulnerable conversations as I asks soul-stirring questions which opens the avenue for “Real Talk” as I engage with my guests.

Real Talk with Michelle reminds us that it is through the difficult times in our lives that we must continue to give thanks to GOD and that the journeys are here for us to grow and learn from and it’s GOD’s job to do the work in their lives, our lives, your life, and my life during and after the blessing, during and after the burden being lifted, during and after the storms. All we have to do is confess and bless.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In my personal career, there have been challenges. Being a woman of color and fighting for my seat at the table has been tough but welcoming. The Talk Show allows me to focus on the struggles of the journey that we all face in life and business. It’s the sharing of the journey and the testimonies that can help others. Folks are willing to share in order to help others.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have been a Bankruptcy Analyst for over 25 yrs. I have contracted with firms in various states preparing cases and trained firms and personnel to do bankruptcy.

It is a specialized field, and the joy of helping others who are financially destitute to obtain a “fresh start” can be very rewarding. Each case is different; whether it’s an elderly person or someone who has lost their job, their car, their home, it is fulfilling to know you can help in those situations.

I am most proud of how far I have come. I worked very hard and went through the drenches to earn my seat at the table. I am sought out to work on complex cases and known as the “get it done” person in more ways than one. I am known for my work ethic and professionalism. It is wonderful when your work and talents are noticed, admired, sought after, and appreciated.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Always yearn to learn more. Reading and/or talking with individuals who are more experienced and/or who have suffered the same struggles helps you to navigate, and that has worked well for me.
