Today we’d like to introduce you to Marquette Shaw.
Hi Marquette, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I grew up with a love of food. I was my mom’s little apprentice. I could say taste tester, but I wanted to help too. When I got older, I became an entertainment photographer. Yet, something was drawing me to food while living in Maryland. I soon became a photographer for a wine Simalier by the name of Nicole Erica of Wine Culture with Nicole. I was soon introduced to some of the top Chef’s in Baltimore, such as Chef Dj Neal, Chef Carlisha Vital, Chef Cat, and vital Chef Cia Carter of Miss Carter’s Kitchen. I am so thankful for them. They helped me expand my palette and gain a bigger and brighter love for food and culture. While in Maryland, I started The Baltimore Taste Buzz. An online series that catered to foodies and tourists in the area, helping them find the best eats. Just as Covid was ending, I moved to Savannah, and I soon after developed Savannah’s Got Food. This series is designed to captivate everyone. From learning about the best food in Savannah to learning about the culture the food came from. This is just a piece of me to go along with being a singer, dancer, actor, doula, and digital Marketer. I’m like Gumbo; I have a lot of ingredients.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life is like a plant. In order to get it to grow, you plant the seed. You water the seed. You prune the plant of the unhealthy portions. You pull of the dead branches. You make sure through its growth, the plant has plenty sunlight. Just like this plant, there are times when life’s road can be rocky, but taking care of your vessel allows room for growth.

I’m a Singer, Dancer, Photographer, Actor, & Digital Marketer or all-around creative who specializes in cultivating riveting experiences. I’m known for being the one to accomplish my goals no matter the obstacles. I’m most proud that I can show the people around me that you can achieve anything as long as you know you can do what it takes to get there. Without doing the work you can’t get to where you want to go in life. What sets me apart from others is the fact that my heart shines through all I do.
