Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamari Padgett.
Hi Jamari, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Well, I started off with 6 kids in 2020 when I first started my drum lessons business, it was challenging at first, but it started to pick up the pace in 2021 where we gained 15 to 20 kids for drum lessons; we were doing great during Covid we started Virtual Lessons and also held in-person lessons once Covid slow down. We currently sat out for 2022 and 2023 to revamp, but we’re ready for 2024.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I can definitely say it’s been a bumpy road, but that’s what you get when you get into business every day isn’t easy; the roads are tough, but the giving up isn’t an option. But I would say the biggest challenge we faced was Covid, that’s about it.

Padgett Youth Drum Lessons LLC is a Company where we Offer Beginner Drum Lessons, those lessons are we teach the Parts of the drum, the sound it makes, or where it is placed on the drums. We Also Offer Intermediate Drum Lessons Where you’re learning to develop your ear to improve your time and become more creative in soloing and fills. We also Offer Advanced Drum lessons where you’re learning to take lead as in the songs you learn, and also learning to stay in the pocket. I would say that what separate us from other companies is really nothing, but we can all pinch in and help our youth community be great in so many ways. I would say what I’m most proud of is that this business was created to teach youth. I get so much enjoyment out of that because I was self-taught as young musician. I’ve been doing it over 18 years it’s been real fun when I was learning, so I know it will be even more greater to introduce it to kids!

Steve Harvey and Tyler Perry podcasts help me go hard each day and push myself to be great. And also reading the Bible helps me in so many ways.
