Today, we’d like to introduce you to Nicolette Myrick.
Hi Nicolette, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My photography journey started six years ago when I left South Carolina as a dental hygienist and moved to New York to become a stay-at-home mom. As a new mom, I taught myself to shoot and edit photos while navigating life. I learned as much as I possibly could. We moved a year later to Michigan from New York, and that is when my business officially started.
My clients are the priority of my business. I take the time and effort needed to make them feel comfortable and reveal images of their best selves that they will love for years. I have known many people that have been afraid to have their picture taken and once I photograph them, I can change how they feel. That is of utmost importance to me.
In 2023, we moved to Savannah, GA. The scenery here is so dreamy and beautiful, which is the perfect backdrop for creating magical moments. I have been able to meet and photograph both locals and out-of-town visitors. I love exploring the area, traveling the country, and expressing creativity.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Moving across country has made the biggest obstacle in my career, by having to start over with new clientele. I cherish the relationships I create with my family and enjoy growing along life with them. So, I miss my past clients but am eager to create new relationships here in Savannah.

I am a professional photographer.
I specialize in families, children, seniors, weddings, newborns, maternity, creative and business headshots. I am known for making my clients comfortable and happy. I am most proud of my persistence. If I try something knew, I am not afraid of it, I always figure out how to get the shot.

I love reading. I enjoy reading psych thrillers, romance, and self-help.
