Today, we’d like to introduce you to Pam Shaw.
Hi Pam, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always had a great interest in all areas of art and design. I’ve enjoyed painting, crochet, mosaics, and many others. I have painted and sold portraits and land/sea scapes. I also owned and operated a Custom Frame Shop and Art Gallery.
Like many, I was curious about “permanent jewelry” when I first heard the term. What in the world could this be? After many online searches and hours spent down “rabbit holes,” I wanted to do it. I invested a few months in researching and training to ensure I’d offer my customers the best products and a unique experience. I launched Goldie Links Savannah in June 2023.
Everyone loves the experience and the beautiful forever pieces we create together. I’ve been overwhelmed by the support I’ve received and never tire of hearing “I LOVE IT!” after completing each piece.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’ve been very fortunate to pick up the skill required quickly. The work is delicate and tedious, requiring a steady hand and keen eyesight. Lots of training and practice have given me the confidence to create the perfect design.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Goldie Links Savannah is primarily a permanent jewelry company. I help my customers create a lasting piece of jewelry that usually holds a special connection to the wearer.
After choosing the perfect chain… and add-ons, if they want… I use a tiny spark to close the piece and make it “permanent.” Customers can choose to design a bracelet, anklet, necklace, or ring. I love doing “mommy and mini” matching pieces, matching sister pieces, matching bestie pieces, etc. Goldie Links Savannah also has ready-made and custom-designed bead bracelets and necklaces.
Goldie Links Savannah does pop-ups at boutiques throughout Savannah and surrounding areas, as well as private and corporate events. I will be opening a brick and mortar location for appointments beginning in May. I look forward to announcing details on my Instagram and Website soon!
What changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I’m surprised every day that so many people have no idea what PJ is. I expect permanent jewelry to continue to grow in popularity as more and more people learn about it. I look forward to staying abreast of all the enhancements the experience offers.
