Check Out Christine Perez Story

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Christine Perez.

Christine Perez

Hi Christine, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I have been an artist and creative person since I was a child. I have always felt the best when I am creating. In 2019, I became a first-time mom and stayed home with my baby. Between that, Covid and mental health issues I was losing myself as a person.

I started creating again and remembered how much joy it brings me. After a friend suggested I could sell my crafts I started signing up to work for markets in Savannah and I haven’t stopped since!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing is ever completely smooth, but the process of creating brings me such joy that it’s always worth it. Sometimes, it can be hard to carve out time for myself between mom & wife duties, but my husband is a huge supporter of me and helps keep me going.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I absolutely love to create. I specialize in creepy, cute art and aesthetic pieces.

I do not limit myself to a specific medium because I love to see where my thoughts and abilities can take me. I enjoy painting and digital art. Lately, I love to work with animal bones and create unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
The city of Savannah has a very special place in my family’s heart. My husband and I met in Miami, Florida, and were struggling financially. We had the opportunity to move to Savannah for a job opportunity, and even though we barely knew anything about the city, we gave it a shot.

Packed up all our stuff and drove 8 hours to our new home. We have been here for 12 years now and can’t imagine our lives anywhere else. We have grown so much here and I absolutely love the artist community here as well.
