Daily Inspiration: Meet Macey Fordham

Today we’d like to introduce you to Macey Fordham.

Macey Fordham

Hi, Macey; please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Macey Fordham, and I love Real Estate! I knew I wanted to be in real estate when I was 18! I worked alongside an incredible woman who taught me much about the industry. She practiced real estate and managed HOAs like they were nothing. She was the definition of professionalism. She always encouraged me to get my real estate license and spread my wings! Eventually, I got my license and knew I wanted to hang it with a company that put agents first. When agents are put first, their clients are put first. Without realizing it, I was looking for Bridge City Real Estate Co. all along! Their values and beliefs enable me to serve my clients to the best of my ability. BCRE has become home, and I could not be more grateful.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been some struggles, but my journey wouldn’t have been what it is today without them! I have worked incredibly hard to produce what I am now. My business is strictly referrals; honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way! All the struggles fade with a support system like mine. I am so thankful for every client, family member, and friend that believes in me. Supporting my business goes further than anyone thinks and is beyond appreciated! I am always up for a good challenge, and they can pop up nowhere in this industry.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
My eagerness to work in markets around Georgia sets me apart from other agents. I was born and raised in Richmond Hill and was focusing on the Richmond Hill/Savannah market at the beginning of my career. I expanded to Effingham, Liberty, Chatham, and beyond as I progressed. As of now, I have served as far as North Georgia. It is always so interesting to learn about different markets around our state! I pride myself on our small-town markets, but when I have a client needing assistance elsewhere, I will always drive to help my clients buy and sell, which isn’t only part of what I do! I also manage rentals around Southeast Georgia! I also love the property management division of our industry. It is only sometimes the right time to buy, so I love being able to help find the perfect rental!

Networking and finding a mentor can positively impact one’s life and career. Any advice?
I have had the best mentors in the business! When I first started, I looked up to Naomi Cota incredibly. She is the one who left such a mark on my real estate career. Growing my business and moving into other markets, Leslie Heath also influenced my career. She was/is a full-time Realtor, mom, wife, and business owner, and I was just in awe! I will always be so grateful to have learned from her. Finding someone genuine, transparent, and knowledgeable to look up to is essential in our industry. You can’t thank those kinds of people enough!
