Our journey began with a fortuitous
mistake that turned into a beautiful opportunity. My partner, Yuval, and I are part of a real estate group and were originally searching for the perfect location to establish a glamping site in the Savannah area. The idea for the glamping site was inspired by my own romantic experience – I proposed to my wife Elizabeth at a glamping site, and we both fell in love with the concept. We and Yuval wanted to bring that unique, intimate experience to Savannah.
While scouting for locations, we stumbled upon an operating wedding venue in the outskirts of Savannah. It was love at first sight. We saw immense potential in the property, with its charming setting and possibilities for transformation. Instead of moving forward with our initial glamping site idea, we decided to purchase the venue.
We embarked on a comprehensive renovation project, reimagining the venue with a French-Italian style vibe. Our goal was to create a space that exudes elegance and romance, perfect for hosting unforgettable weddings. After the renovations were complete, Chateau 1800 was born. We began hosting weddings and quickly became known for our beautiful venue and exceptional service.
