Hi Cornelius , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hello my name is Cornelius Chism I’m a local celebrity photographer formerly known as Pesoshotthat and I started my photography journey in December 2023 ever since highschool I’ve always wanted to be a photographer/videographer but being caught up in real life issues I put my dream to the side and decided to enroll in college after i graduated and went to Miles College a hbcu located in Birmingham Alabama after completing a year there I wanted to go back but unfortunately due to financial issues my college aspirations were cut short and I was at a point I honestly didn’t know what to do so I started just floating around trying to make ends meet while I was staying with a friend in Birmingham so when I finally decided to move back to Savannah I spent my last dollars on a Sony A7iii and it just went from there I met another local videographer in the city he goes by the name Bcm Steel he’s a great videographer make sure to check him out he sum what took me under his wing with putting me in position to network for my self within a month of me starting photography I did my first celebrity concert which was Bossman Dlow and ever since then I’ve built my portfolio to have a lot of important figures like Rob49, Hunxho , Skilla baby , Bossie , Rich homie Quan , Big boogie and plenty more I want to be a tour photographer/ videographer for a artist and just travel the world I’ve been doing this for 9 months now and the sky’s the limit I’ve experienced and met people I’ve never thought I’d be around especially me being from a small city like Savannah .
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’d say yes it has been a smooth road ever since i started because I’m making great achievements but also no and the reason why I say that is because doing the things im doing in this short of a time frame comes with a lot of stress because I always feel like I could’ve did better or have better equipment because being in this industry you’ll find alot of people that has years of experience while I’m just some guy with a SonyA7iii with a stock lens so it’s really just a mental thing for me just wanting to produce something perfect but all in all I wouldn’t trade this career for nothing else
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a photographer/videographer I specialize in celebrity events I’m known in savannah a photographer I’m most proud of when Hunxho posted my pictures and I’d say what sets me apart from others is my work ethic
