Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Velez
Hi Ashley , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in a small town called Kingsland, Ga. When I was 6 years old I thought about becoming a singer. Would always be singing with my radio instead of doing my school studies. Ever since then I always wanted to pursue acting, singing, or modeling. Moved out to Atlanta and became a model and got to network with alot of models and photographers. Also got to work on alot of movies and TV shows sets. Currently as of now am releasing an album called SENTIMIENTOS with a collaborating artist named ATRIEL.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was not always easy for me because I had so many people that wanted money to get me into an agency. But money was always an issue and it’s just something I never had. My money went towards bills and being able to keep a roof over my head.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I model, sing, and act. What sets me apart is is being able to carry so many different hats. What I am most proud of is the fact that I got to model for so many desighners and appear in different shows. Also be on movie sets and work with different actors.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Is being successful in something I love doing. At the end of the day being on stage is what makes me happy and proud that I got to be apart of something creative.
