Conversations with Axis Delara

Today we’d like to introduce you to Axis Delara.

Axis, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I originally was very interested in following travel content creators or lifestyle creators and then decided to start posting on my own. At first I was afraid if people would think it was “cringe” so I stuck to only posting on Tiktok which was my safe space and then I decided to branch into posting on my own personal instagram account as well. After posting for about a year – I finally had one of my videos go viral which was about a fun idea to do for a date night in New York. I then started getting opportunities to try different activites around New York including making perfume, going to different museums, and sports. I am now trying to focus my content to be centered around lifestyle and travel.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road! Sometimes I will take so much time to edit a video and it will completely flop and other times – the videos I put the least amount of effort into end up going viral. I would say the biggest issue so far has been getting followers in order to start monetizing my videos. I have made money from affiliate partnerships and also received a lot of gifting but I am looking to expand my following going into this year so that I can have it be another income stream.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I started my career in agency recruitment which was hardcore sales and ended up doing really well. This first job allowed me to save a lot and I ended up being able to purchase my first home at the age of 27. I have then been working in tech sales and during the first lay off was when I initially started posting a lot more on social media. I would say that my drive sets me apart from others and I usually find ways to work smarter not harder.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My biggest supporter is my husband. He helps me film any content when I am invited to things but I have also leaned on my friends a ton. It’s typically a two person job and the other person serves as my human tripod. Also I have looked at a lot of other Tiktok creators as inspiration.
