Today we’d like to introduce you to Elisa Vandzura.
Hi Elisa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into esthetics began with a deep love for skincare and a desire to help others feel truly confident in their own skin. But even more than that, it was rooted in my faith. I believe that God gives us each unique gifts and callings, and over time, I felt Him leading me to create a space where people could feel loved, seen, and restored.
After becoming licensed, I knew I wanted to build something that wasn’t just about beauty, but about service. That’s how Laurel & Rose was born. I opened my studio inside Suite Life Spa with the intention of offering results-driven skincare in a calming, faith-filled environment—one where people can exhale and feel genuinely cared for.
It’s been a journey of trust and obedience, and I give God all the glory for how far I’ve come. I’m so grateful to get to do this work, and to use it as a way to reflect Christ’s love through every client interaction.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth—but it’s been full of growth, grace, and so much help from God and the people He’s placed in my life. Starting Laurel & Rose required a huge leap of faith. Like many solo business owners, I had to face the fear of the unknown, build a clientele from the ground up, and learn how to wear all the hats—often all at once. But I can honestly say I’ve never walked it alone.
God has been faithful every step of the way, and He’s also blessed me with the most amazing support system. My mentor, Tara Scott-Johnson—esthetician and owner of Suite Life Spa—has poured so much wisdom, encouragement, and real talk into me. I wouldn’t be where I am without her guidance. Christen Martin of Hostess City Travels and Photography has been another huge gift—she captures the heart of my brand so beautifully and is always there to let me bounce ideas around when I feel stuck. Sam Howarth from The Way She Was Made has saved me more times than I can count when it comes to Instagram. I always joke that I’m a useless millennial—but she helps me show up in a way that feels true to who I am.
And of course, my husband has been my rock through it all—cheering me on, praying over this business with me, and stepping in whenever I need support behind the scenes. It really does take a village, and I’m endlessly grateful for mine.
Through every challenge, I’ve seen God’s provision and timing so clearly. The hard moments have taught me to lean into Him more deeply, and to trust that when He calls you to something, He also equips you for it.
As you know, we’re big fans of Laurel & Rose. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Laurel & Rose is a solo esthetics studio located inside Suite Life Spa, where I specialize in customized skincare treatments that focus on both results and relaxation. I offer services like dermaplaning, microneedling, and deeply nourishing facials—all tailored to meet each client’s unique skin needs.
What sets Laurel & Rose apart is the intentional, one-on-one experience I offer. I’m not about quick fixes or cookie-cutter treatments—I take the time to truly get to know my clients and their skin. Every appointment is grounded in care, comfort, and education, so my clients leave not only glowing but also feeling empowered in their skincare journey.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the atmosphere I’ve created. Laurel & Rose is meant to feel like a little retreat—a space where clients can slow down, feel seen, and be cared for without judgment or pressure. It’s about building trust and relationships, not just delivering a service.
For readers who are new to skincare or just looking for a more personalized approach, I’d love to welcome you in. Whether you’re dealing with specific concerns or just want to treat yourself to some much-needed self-care, I’m here to help you love the skin you’re in.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To me, success is about living in alignment with my purpose and the values God has placed on my heart. I believe I was called to create a space where people feel seen, loved, and cared for—not just on the surface, but in a deeper, more meaningful way. Every client interaction is an opportunity to serve others with kindness, humility, and grace, and I consider it a blessing to be able to do that through my work.
Of course, there are tangible goals in business, like growth and sustainability, but true success for me is measured by the impact I make and how well I reflect Christ’s love in all that I do. If someone leaves my studio feeling a little lighter, more confident, or simply cared for, then I know I’m fulfilling that calling.
At the end of the day, I believe success is about being faithful with what I’ve been given, trusting God with the rest, and building something that honors Him while serving others with excellence and compassion.
