Hi Carolina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2022, life changed fast. I was a stay at home with my baby, and trying to figure out what was next. Candles became my little escape, with my husband we would light up every room. I loved the calm they brought to our home and how they made ordinary moments feel special. But when I learned many candles were filled with toxins that weren’t safe for people, pets, or the planet, I decided to make my own.
What started as a hobby at my kitchen table turned into a purpose, creating candles that are clean, sustainable, and made with love. Every candle is a reminder that even from unexpected turns, something beautiful can grow.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been smooth at times. It wasn’t easy finding vendors who shared my eco-conscious vision, sourcing truly sustainable materials took time and patience. Every detail mattered, from wax to wicks to packaging. Then came the testing, and more testing, to ensure every candle was safe and high-quality. Balancing it all while running a family business and keeping creativity alive has been challenging, but it’s also been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
As you know, we’re big fans of Scenturo Co. . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business started with a simple love for candles and has since grown into a full line of scented products, from room sprays and car fresheners to diffusers and even a men’s collection with aftershave and beard care. What truly sets us apart is our commitment to using ingredients that are inspired by and kind to the environment. Every product is created with care, using materials that are safe, sustainable, and thoughtfully sourced.
We’re proud to now partner with local businesses, including flower shops, auto shops, coffee shops, and realtors, bringing our eco-friendly products into more spaces across the community. Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was born and raised in Honduras, and later had the opportunity to live and study in New Jersey & Miami This experience allowed me to meet people from diverse backgrounds, which has been incredibly inspiring. My family and faith have also played a significant role in my life. Now, I’m motivated by my little one Nova and my husband Alister, whose fearless approach to exploring new opportunities and pushing boundaries with his talent has taken him to great heights.
