Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Weaver.
Hi Jamie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I used to sell my blood for rent , I went to college and got a degree in photography and criminal justice . I worked for a lawyer and did autopsy photos. It was sad. I then started doing weddings and now I own 3 photobooths and employ 3 photographers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I also ran a monthly meeting group called Savannah Wedding Vendors which was a full time job, too. I was overwhelmed and needed it to either end or sell it. I was told I couldn’t sell it but I did!
I also started out one Saturday paying the babysitter more than I made
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a photographer, I do weddings , families and surprise proposals in Savannah, GA.
We have been voted Savannahs Best photographer for 5 years .
I’m proud that after the 22 years of hard work, I can delegate and outsource and have weekends off.
I get the shot no one else gets and no one works harder than me
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
With AI I believe photography expectations will be a an all time high.
