Life & Work with Dorothy & Rachel Simmons & Edge of Rincon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dorothy & Rachel Simmons & Edge.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Wild Goose Grace was created by two moms—Rachel and Dorothy—during a difficult season of life, when a deeper sense of purpose was needed.

Their friendship began through a small Bible study hosted at Rachel’s home. They quickly bonded over shared struggles and their love for Jesus. What made their friendship so special was their openness—no masking, no need to have it all together. They walked through their trials side by side, sharing burdens, failures and a deep need for God—embracing the raw, real, and messy parts of life.

One day, during a phone call, Rachel and Dorothy found themselves discussing a shared dream of starting a business. Rachel brought business experience, and Dorothy brought the product. It was a perfect match.

The name Wild Goose Grace was inspired by the idea that many of us spend our lives on a “wild goose chase,” pursuing things like money, status or pleasure. Yet, what we truly long for is fulfillment, purpose and meaning. The name serves as a reminder of what happens when we surrender our plans to God—He replaces our endless chasing with His abounding grace.

This business is more than jewelry to us. It represents fellowship—an invitation into unity and surrender. Through our website blog, we share glimpses of our personal lives (both the beautiful and the messy), the lessons we’re learning and messages of hope. Our heart’s desire is for others to feel seen right where they are and to know they are deeply loved by God. Walking with Him isn’t about perfection—because let’s be honest, none of us are perfect.

Isaiah 64:8
“But now, O Lord, You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.”

This verse is included with each package we send. It reflects the heart behind our work. We hope that each pair of earrings can serve as a reminder of this truth. Just like clay, we don’t begin as finished masterpieces. The process is gradual—sometimes messy, sometimes tedious—but always meaningful. Little by little, we are shaped and refined, molded into something beautiful by the Potter himself.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Wild Goose Grace was born out of a season where we needed something that worked with our lives as stay-at-home moms. We needed the flexibility to be present for our children while still building something meaningful.

At the same time, finding that balance has come with its challenges. Carving out consistent time for the business while managing the demands of motherhood isn’t always easy. We’ve also faced the challenge of getting our name out into the world. Marketing has been a learning curve for us, but it’s an area we’re continuing to learn and grow in.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Wild Goose Grace currently operates as an online boutique, show casing products like handmade jewelry, graphic designed shirts and other faith-focused items.

Our most featured product is our hand-crafted polymer clay earrings. Polymer clay earrings are crafted from a flexible, durable material known as polymer clay. This type of clay is a synthetic material that is shaped, baked to harden and then polished to achieve a smooth, lightweight finish. It allows for a wide range of colors, textures and patterns, making each pair of earrings unique and customizable.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
We’ve experienced so many meaningful successes thanks to the incredible support around us. Our friends, family and the small group that eventually grew into something much bigger have truly carried us and been a steady anchor through it all.
