My husband is a pastor at May River Lutheran Church here in Bluffton. We started the church during my residency training in Savannah. After training it was natural for me to get my first job here in Bluffton, but I quickly got burned out on the fast-pace/no-time culture of the traditional medical clinic environment. I wanted time with my patients. Read more>>

I’m a studio artist and educator in South Georgia. I center my studio practice on drawing and painting. I’m a natural introvert. I’ve spent most of my adult life trying to figure out how to make Coastal Georgia a place where creativity doesn’t have to leave to thrive. For a long time, my life was defined by a different kind of precision. I was working in machine programming, a technical career that paid the bills but left me completely uninspired.
