Check Out Brooke Coleman’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Coleman.

Hi Brooke, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hi, I’m Brooke, the founder of The Marketing Company. Funny enough, I never set out to build a marketing agency, especially not one that now serves clients across multiple industries with a team of specialists behind the scenes. My background is in business consulting. For over a decade, I worked side by side with business owners, analyzing operations, fixing inefficiencies, and scaling growth. Time and time again, I watched elite marketing firms charge a premium while delivering shallow strategies, inflated reports, and little real movement for my clients. I got tired of watching good businesses get burned by empty promises.

That’s when I decided to flip the script. I created The Marketing Company to be something different, something real. We’re built on transparency, results, and an understanding that marketing doesn’t have to be overpriced to be powerful. What sets us apart isn’t just affordability; it’s our approach. I believe no single person can master the entire marketing world, which is why I’ve built a team of talented specialists, each with deep expertise in their area. Together, we build campaigns that actually connect for businesses not only in Savannah but all across the states, and even in other countries i.e. Costa Rica, Dubai, and Peru.

Two phrases guide everything we do: “Challenge your thinking” and “The key to successful marketing and sales is an appreciation and understanding of diversity.” These aren’t just sayings, they’re strategy. Most business owners operate in tunnel vision, unintentionally marketing only to people who think like they do. But growth requires reaching beyond your own lens. If you can’t understand how others think, live, or buy, you’ll always be speaking to an echo chamber. My company exists to break that cycle and bring bold, inclusive, and intelligent marketing to the table, one perspective shift at a time.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not even close, and honestly, I wouldn’t want it to be.

Being an entrepreneur is never easy. That’s why some people avoid it. It’s far more comfortable to stick with routine, collect a steady paycheck, and not have your name tied to the outcome. But that’s not the path I chose. I feel it’s especially tough in the world of marketing. The space is flooded with people offering marketing services for “remote work”. So many claiming to run marketing companies or understand marketing simply because they know how to post pretty pictures on social media. The truth is, those photos with matching filters may look nice, but without strategy, they don’t bring results for clients and they end up burned. That makes our lives hard.

When business owners have been burned before we come in, paying someone a minimal hourly rate to post content that never moved the needle and no ROI, it is hard to repair that faith/trust. When I come in talking about actual campaigns, measurable traffic growth, and brand development, I’m often met with skepticism. Rebuilding that trust takes time. So does rebuilding their website, their messaging, and sometimes even their entire marketing foundation.

But that’s exactly what sets us apart. We do what we say we’re going to do. We don’t just create content. We create strategy. We build systems that work. That kind of impact never comes from taking the easy road. It comes from choosing the one that makes a difference. It is the soul behind the mission…

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m genuinely excited to answer this question because it touches on what makes my journey and approach so unique.

I don’t just run a marketing company. I live a life where all my passions and skills align with my purpose. I’m a certified yoga instructor, an international retreat leader, and a professional photographer. These aren’t just hobbies. They’re extensions of who I am, and I’ve found ways to weave them into my work in a way that adds real value.

Photography is one of my greatest creative outlets, and it allows me to deliver high-quality, intentional content to my marketing clients. It’s not just about snapping pretty pictures. It’s about capturing energy, moments, and brand essence in a way that feels alive and tells a story.

As a yoga teacher, I understand burnout from a neurological and energetic perspective. Often, as I build relationships with business owners and their teams, I introduce my philosophy on breathwork and mindfulness not as a service, but as a support system. It’s amazing how many business problems, especially marketing-related, are really just people problems. Overwhelmed teams, high turnover, and constant stress can’t handle a surge in leads or growth. That’s why I bring all of me to the table, not just the marketer. And that’s what I’m most proud of: creating impact by connecting the dots between wellness, creativity, and business strategy. So fun!

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something that surprises most people when they get to know me is that, while I may be a business owner, I am not a capitalist at heart. A lot of the work I do is deeply karma-driven. From the outside, people often assume I am purely focused on strategy, growth, and performance metrics. While those things matter, they are not what guide me. My real motivation comes from alignment and purpose.

As a yoga teacher and energy worker, I have studied the principles of balance, intention, and service. That same philosophy flows into my business. I believe that what you put out, you get back. That is why I created a unique approach I call “playing in the sandbox together.” Instead of treating marketing like a competition, I encourage business owners in the same area to collaborate on projects that promote their collective location. When we uplift others, it not only builds a stronger community, it also increases engagement and momentum for each individual brand.

Much of the work I do naturally flows into philanthropy. Whether I am helping a nonprofit with marketing support or donating my time and energy to causes I care about, I have seen over and over again that generosity always finds its way back. If more people truly understood the universal laws at play, like cause and effect or energy exchange, they could tap into the same kind of success. I am not successful because I chase profit. I am successful because I lead with intention and give without keeping score.

My team follows this same mindset. I do not just hire based on resumes. I hire based on energy. I place people in roles that align with their natural strengths, including their zodiac sign. If you are going to be in sales, I need a Leo. If you are going to be managing finances, I need a Virgo. If you are curating content for client aesthetics, I want a Taurus. It is real. Energy, personality, and alignment matter. When the right people are in the right roles, everything flows. That is how we work, and that is why our clients feel the difference and their consumers understand and FEEL their marketing!
