Today we’d like to introduce you to Christin Lee.
Hi Christin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always been a lover of photography, but having my three daughters really inspired me to pursue it as a business. When my middle daughter was 4, my wife bought me a Nikon d3400 for my birthday and I never put it down. I made a post on Facebook on a whim thinking it wouldn’t go anywhere and 5 years later it is a thriving business. I still love it as much today as I did at 16 when I got my first camera. Families are my favorite to capture. I love capturing the moments that matter. The details of your child’s face, the smiles on the mother’s face as their kids race towards them. I love saying and fully believe that it won’t be posed smiling faces that we want to remember, it’s the laughter that I capture as they dance around with their littles that will be what we miss the most.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve been passionate about photography since my parents got me a camera at 16. It’s something I had always wanted to do yet never felt confident in myself enough to do so. While also being a stay at home to three daughters, it’s hard to balance working from home and especially during busy season.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I consider myself a bold and colorful photographer whose main focus is lifestyle photography. I would say I am pretty known for my colorful photography. I rely less on the posing and more on the connection. I love learning all I can about photography and practicing new techniques. I’m proud of all of my work and for all the connections that I’ve created throughout the past 5 years but recently my middle daughter has picked up the camera I started this business with and has found her own love and passion for photography.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
That I’m super introverted. Most of my clients will tell you that I’m loud and outgoing and I love to cut up but I’m actually super introverted. I love to read and write also.
