Check Out Kelly Temple’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Temple.

Hi Kelly, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey began with watching my mother, a natural caretaker, build a business from the ground up despite limited formal education. This undoubtedly instilled an entrepreneurial spirit in me. I got my esthetician license 10 years ago but didn’t dive right in because I struggled with the BS conventional beauty ideals in the industry.

Everything changed when I reframed my approach to focus on human connection—listening to people, educating them, creating a space where they feel seen and valued.

Without any business background, I opened my day spa in 2020 as the sole provider. As my client list grew, I slowly expanded my team, realizing that my caretaking extended beyond clients to creating a comfortable workplace surrounded by likeminded professionals. Inside and out, we maintain our commitment to being a space for repose, inclusion, authentic representation, nurtured practices, and boundless self-worth.

This passion and leadership approach enabled me to expand into the treatment loft in 2022, focusing on corrective skincare and building a team of top-quality estheticians. Today, teaching has become my primary passion, and I’m excited to grow into a professional role supporting others in the wellness community.

What truly defines our work is creating spaces where both my team and our clients can meet themselves exactly where they are, without judgment, to worship themselves.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My god no. For starters, I opened during a global pandemic in an industry where I literally touch people.

I’ve had to heal my own personal inner wounds and navigate my own physical and mental health while running a business centered around it. Give myself the same grace I give the people around me. Heal my ‘not good enough’ wound. Find a balance between people pleasing and strong leadership.

I’ve lost team members that broke my heart. Had to check myself and my ego in wrong decision making and pivot. And the financial aspect, don’t even get me started. Running a business is fucking insane. I’ve never even been a ‘type A’ person, so how I’ve gotten this far astonishes me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I build sanctuaries. Not just physical spaces, but experiences where authenticity thrives.

I’m known for challenging beauty standards and prioritizing human connection. When clients come to us, they’re not getting a cookie-cutter treatment—they’re experiencing true presence and attention that acknowledges their uniqueness. Our treatments are the highest, most in-depth of their kind—taking customization down to even the millisecond. This level of precision and attention to detail is unmatched.

I’m most proud of watching my team develop their own voices within this framework I’ve created. We have some of the most talented, creative, passionate, and unique therapists in the industry. I don’t just say that—I believe it with my whole being. Each brings their own special approach and expertise while sharing our core values of authentic care. This is how we help clients transform – to realize this isn’t about fixing flaws but about honoring themselves.

What sets us apart is our refusal to separate technical skill from emotional intelligence. In an industry often focused on external results, we’ve created something that works from the inside out. And in a world that’s constantly telling people they’re not enough, we’re the voice saying ‘you are perfect exactly as you are, right now.’

What matters most to you? Why?
Just trying to navigate life. To grow and heal and then do it all over again. To balance work and life. To love deeply.

Why? Maybe because I’m a Libra.
