Hi Michell, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello – I am a lifestyle blogger based out in the DMV area. I am a full-time assistant Project Manager for an ATM installation company in Laurel, MD. I started blogging almost 4 years ago. My good friends had blogs as well and that motivated me to give it a try. It is always working progress! Also, always excited and looking forward to new opportunities.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I would not say it has been a smooth road in this lifestyle blogging world, some struggles I have faced along the way were not landing the partnerships I wanted because of not enough engagement. But, I will say consistency is key. Keep going for it!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
On a daily basis (Monday-Friday) I work 8-5 as an assistant project manager and I have been with the company for three years already. Our client is Huntington Bank and what I am most proud of is being able to coordinate the tough projects that come along and being rewarded with an acknowledgment trophy by the end of the year (or sooner) for being able to handle these projects. What sets me apart from others is that we all deal with different clients, so the challenges we face are all different and if any other team needs assistance, they know they can count on me to help.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I have learned was to always follow up with clients even if you have to try to contact them more than once a week because then it can look bad leaving a task for later on in the week and I just like to do things ahead of time.
