Check Out Sarah Johnson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Johnson.

Hi Sarah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in the small town of Alma, Georgia, and I’ve always been a creative, crafty person. For nearly ten years, I spent a lot of my free time in the dance studio, and looking back, dance had a bigger impact on me than I realized at the time. It taught me discipline, drive, and confidence—lessons that have shaped who I am today.

After high school, I started a degree in business administration, but along the way I discovered a love for marketing, particularly social media management, content creation, and branding. In 2022, I began my first full-time career promoting tourism for Glynn County. That experience deepened my passion for social media storytelling and gave me hands-on experience managing content for both freelance clients and my full-time role.

Even as I developed these skills, I kept being drawn back to the wedding industry. I was “that girl” who had her entire wedding planned on Pinterest by the age of 15, and I updated it every few years to stay on top of the trends. That personal interest led me to take a part-time role as a Wedding Concierge at a luxury resort on St. Simons Island, where I gained experience within the industry. Stepping into the wedding world gave me a glimpse into wedding content creation—and that’s when the spark for launching my own business began.

In June 2025, I founded Vows in Frame, a wedding content creation company built around the idea of capturing authentic vows while beautifully framing them in time. Although this type of content is still relatively new in the industry, I’ve found there’s a real purpose for what we do—it’s not about replacing other vendors on the media team, but about adding an extra layer of storytelling that helps couples relive their day in a meaningful way.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any business owner, I’ve faced moments of comparison and wondered if I was moving fast enough or doing enough. But those moments have taught me to focus on my own path and trust the process. My faith has been a huge part of that—I trust God and His plan, which keeps me grounded and confident in the decisions I make. Starting Vows in Frame has truly been one of the best decisions of my life, and I see now that the challenges along the way have helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m the founder and creator of Vows in Frame, the first wedding content creation company based in the Golden Isles of Georgia. I capture weddings along the East Coast and beyond, with a focus on authentic, unposed moments and storytelling. My company is built on capturing vows and framing them beautifully in time, and I take pride in delivering all content to my couples by 4 p.m. the day after their wedding.

Each moment I capture is unscripted, from the getting-ready moments to the grand exit, giving couples a full behind-the-scenes look at their day. Vows in Frame offers three types of content packages, each increasing in coverage hours and edited content, and every couple receives both the raw files and curated, post-worthy content they can share with friends and family.

On the wedding day, my focus is on the couple’s goals for hiring a content creator—usually that they want to be fully present in the moment. I’m there to capture everything they might otherwise miss: the happy tears, the laughter, the prayers, and even the moments singing along to their favorite songs.

What sets me apart is this combination of completely authentic storytelling and next-day delivery. I’ve been fortunate to capture love stories all across Georgia, and I’m proud to help couples relive the joy, emotion, and beauty of their wedding day immediately after it happens.

How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happiest is helping people, whether it’s through my work or just supporting someone personally. My faith also brings me a lot of joy, giving me perspective and purpose in everything I do. And I really cherish the slower moments with my family—the quiet, intentional time together reminds me what really matters and recharges me for everything else in life.
