Today we’d like to introduce you to Ursula Williams.
Hi Ursula, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Tifton, GA, where my passion for beauty was sparked at an early age. Even as a little girl, I was that “prissy” one who spent hours in front of the mirror, experimenting with hair styles and perfecting my skincare routines. I graduated from Tift County High School, and my early love for selfcare naturally led me to pursue a career in Esthetics. In 2020, I graduated from the Esthetician Program at Ogeechee Technical College, a place that not only has provided me with the skills to excel in the beauty industry but also became a cornerstone in my journey. I proudly own GLO Esthetics, LLC, as a GA Licensed Esthetician, where I bring my passion for skincare to life. I also serve as an Adjunct Esthetics Instructor mentoring and instructing aspiring estheticians and sharing the knowledge and experience, I’ve gathered over the years. My personal life is equally enriching, I am blessed with a loving and supportive husband, David Williams and a beautiful daughter, Aylasia Lawson, who is currently in college. They have been my biggest cheerleaders, inspiring me to push myself even past my set boundaries. One of my proudest achievements came at the age of 42, when I returned to college to pursue my dream. Graduating at that stage in my life not only affirmed my commitment to growth and education but also set a shining example for my daughter and every Esthetics student who crosses my path, that it’s never too late to finish and to follow your passion. Through every new experience, I continue to remain dedicated to myself, my family, my craft and to inspiring others in this everyday changing world of skincare and beauty.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not always been a smooth road, being older going back to school and trying to work a fulltime job, being a mom and a wife, being a first-time business owner and learning the ins and outs. But God showed out.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a Georgia Licensed Esthetician. I own GLO Esthetics, LLC since 2021. I specialize in skincare (facials, waxing, yoni steams, etc.) I would say that I am known for my clients gaining their GLO back and educating them on their particular skin type and products to specifically use on their skin. I am also an Adjunct Esthetics Instructor, so to my students I would say that I am known for making sure that when they leave my class, they are well equipped and confident enough to take State Boards and transition into the industry. I am most proud of ME pushing myself beyond limits and accomplishing everything that I’ve said I wanted to do in life thus far. What sets me apart from others is that I am just who I say I am, I don’t sugar coat anything and I am always able and willing to help with getting you to the next level.
Any big plans?
My future plans are to continue learning, expand and share my knowledge with others. I’m looking forward to collaborating with others and seeing what else God has in store for me.
