Hi Alethea, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My interest in Real Estate, Property Investment, and Property Management started at eight years old. My father used to take me to his properties to clean them up, complete work orders, collect rent and plan out the next investment. At the young age of 8, I had an opinion on how his business should have been running, and today, he tells me I wasn’t that far off. My father became a Disable Veteran, and we weren’t able to maintain his properties anymore, but I still had an interest in Real Estate.
And as a teenager, one of my childhood best friend’s mother retired and invested her money into Real Estate, and she took us everywhere with her as she made all these connections where it seemed as though people were giving her things for free or on trade. I watched her grow her business for the better part of four years, and I knew I needed to pick up where my father left off.
In my early 20s, after college, I pursued Real Estate on my own, which proved to be more difficult than I first expected. So, I took what I now recognize as the long route, and went into Banking, Loans, Direct Marketing, Climbed the Corporate Ladder, went back into Banking then I was ready for Real Estate again.
I started at the bottom of a Property Management Company as a Utility Admin; within less than a year later, the Favor of the Lord moved me into a position to be promoted and have my classes and test paid for to become a Real Estate Leasing Agent, by my job at that time. That’s when I knew that was the route God wanted me to take the whole time. Doors began to open for me within Property Management that took other people years to access, so I kept moving forward until I was working for a company as an Assisted Property Manager. But I was doing the work as a Property Manager but getting none of the credit or promotions. As time passed, I sought the counsel of the Lord and knew it was time for a change; through a series of events that unfolded shortly after that, I started TrueLight Infinity Homes LLC., the Property Management Company.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The path to becoming the CEO of TrueLight Infinity Homes LLC has been far from easy. As humans, we encounter difficulties in all aspects of our pursuit of happiness, particularly when it involves improving our lives or those of others. However, it’s these very challenges that shape us into the individuals we are today. It’s not about how many times we fall but how we pick ourselves up. Therefore, I’ve learned to view every obstacle as a learning opportunity. I ask myself the following questions: what was my role when it happened, who was with me, could it happen again, what can I salvage from it, and did I do everything possible to prevent it from happening? These questions help me learn from my mistakes and grow as an individual.
For instance, I had been working on a specific type of funding for three months when my financial advisor informed me that it may take several more months. At that point, I realized that either it wasn’t the path God intended for me or it wasn’t the right time to access those funds. I chose the latter and focused on investor funds instead, which has opened up new opportunities, providing me with wisdom beyond my years.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
As a child, I was very inquisitive; I always wanted to know why someone did something, what they were thinking when they did it, and how things worked. I used to love putting together anything that was brought into the house like dressers, nightstands, tables, anything. I used and still do love to help people, whether it was getting a knot out of a shoestring, finding something that is missing, or just helping people complete something that seemed impossible. I love good jigsaw puzzles, mysteries, or unsolved problems. I have always felt as though there has to be an answer; we have to complete the picture. I also used to love to entertain people by dancing, singing, and talking.
I guess those are the parts of my personality that have pulled forth into adulthood; helping me to maintain my childlike joy but shaping me into the woman I AM today. That problem solves with her eyes closed and her heart open, which is on a higher level of understanding than I have ever sat before.
