Today we’d like to introduce you to Casey Brockington.
Hi Casey, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I got into filming right after I graduated high school back in 2018. I made my first short film with a couple of my friends and fell in love with the craft.
For the rest of 2018 and all of 2019, I started writing scripts and sharpening my skills in writing and in production. Along the way, I started to meet some wonderful people who saw my vision and wanted the same thing. In 2020 I made the conscious decision to create my own company.
After I ran the idea with my team my company “Timeless Cultural Entertainment Production Company LLC” was born.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My experience goes both ways.
On one hand, the road has been smooth as far as the business side of everything. To further elaborate, I find it easy to make sure I provide the essential necessities to make sure my company continues to run smoothly and that my employee’s needs are met.
On the other hand, I’ve experienced “what I consider” a lack of motivation and commitment from the acting pool of Savannah and some of the surrounding areas. Getting actors is a major part of the films making process and it’s a high level of frustration when actors say they are committed to your role just to cancel or be a no-call no-show.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
The name of my business is Timeless Cultural Entertainment Production Company LLC or T×C×E for short. We are a production company that specializes in making different forms of entertainment.
That includes Short films, movies, all types of animation, podcasts, etc. We created an app that allows you to stream our timless entertainment for a small fee.
I believe our company is very different from the other streaming platforms out currently, we make it a part of our brand to have a personal interaction with everyone who follows us and the fans of our most popular shorts, shows, movies, etc.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I have four favorite podcasts I listen to daily. First is the 02LItpodcast, created by Matthew Odum II. He reads books and reviews/talks about them to his guest.
The second is thepotecast, created by four hard-working black men in Savannah Ga. They all talk about the different topics while also including guests. Thrid is the Southern-fried talk podcast, created by Nick Cardwell, he mainly talks about sports but he also includes other interesting topics.
And fourth goes to the brown sugar chronicles podcast, created by Nichelle Hilton. She talks mainly about relationship advice but she throws in an interesting conversation about life advice, health, etc.
