Hi Deadra, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I got my start by planning events for my daughter and wanting an elevated experience that I had not had the privilege of receiving when I was working with vendors that I hired for my personal events.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I honestly haven’t had very many issues. Since the beginning of my business, I took my time to be deliberate in planning every phase of my business so that I could advance at every level with structured ease.

Southern Chic Event Rentals is a luxury event furniture and decor studio based in Charleston, SC. We offer unique, elegant rentals from intricate details to large-scale and bold statement pieces that create lasting, memorable, and one-of-a-kind events. We provide furniture and decor that speak to the classic traditions but also add a modern twist and pop of distinguished flair.
We specialize in luxury and unique event furniture, specialty linens, custom designs, and event planning. We are an all-in-one luxury studio that is one of the most important resources for every event. In our 4,000-square-foot studio, we have a high-end table, chairs, bars, and candelabras. vases, candleholders, china, custom signage, lounge furniture, and bar accessories.
Our southern hospitality and precise attention to detail truly set us apart from everyone else. We believe in being passionate about going to great lengths to provide exceptional service and hospitality. We are driven by our creativity to design the perfect engagement party, bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and wedding reception, along with social and corporate events to provide high-quality luxury event furniture and decor.
I am most proud that the rentals and services we offer, create a signature event that is like no other no matter how many events we do. Each event is distinctive, customized, and detailed to precision.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory is the first time went to Disney World and met Mickey Mouse for the first time. I have been in love with Disney and Mickey Mouse ever since.
My experience at Disney and love for all things Disney clearly are evident through my work and my attention to detail. Just like Disney, I believe in creating magic and providing clients with pure joy.
