Today we’d like to introduce you to Drew Boatright.
Hi Drew, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I graduated from Georgia Southern University, the Savannah (formally Armstrong) campus in July 2021 with a degree in Chemistry. I have a strong passion for creating, experimenting, and most of all, learning.
Last year in November I decided to make liquid soaps for my friends and family as Christmas gifts. After raving reviews from them, I decided to take Drew’s Soaps to the next level. Using my Chemistry background, I began to do research on what was involved in liquid soap making. I quickly found out how this was not a simple process and was nothing like bar soap making (a process I had done before). The challenge is what drove me to push even harder to create an all-natural liquid soap product that doesn’t use harsh chemicals. So, that’s what I did
I love creating new products with the help of my girlfriend Hailey Devers, and I couldn’t do it without the support of my two beautiful cats: Tilapia and Exley.!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being that I am a recent college graduate, I am also 25 years old and don’t have an excess of finances. I also work a full-time job at a chemical plant in Savannah, GA, so I always feel I never have enough time.
It has been a learning curve when dealing with how much a business truly costs to run. I, unfortunately, am not perfect, so trial batches have been needed, which don’t come free, sadly. However, I am embracing the new things I am learning and so far, things are going pretty great!

Drew’s Soaps are all handcrafted by myself in Savannah, GA. I do large amounts of research on the products I buy, how I use them, etc. I only use natural ingredients. Our mission is to create a soap that not only exceeds your expectations but also meets Mother Nature’s approval. We’re passionate about using only the best ingredients to craft a soap that is simple yet effective.

Besides foaming hand soaps, we also make Moisturizing Body Wash, Fragrance and Remedy Essential Oil Roll On’s, All-Natural Deodorant, and we offer gift sets! *We do have brown sugar soap scrubs (coming soon)
I create all of the products at Drew’s Soaps, while my girlfriend, Hailey, handles all of the labels, print materials, and all marketing stuff. She rocks! With that being said, we have the ability to personalize to our customers’ needs and wants. We also have a friendly, personal relationship with a lot of our customers, which is great being that we are so new to the business world.
