Hi Hailey , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My love for flowers started when I was a kid visiting my mom at the small florist shop where she worked in Cottageville. I’ll never forget that smell — fresh-cut flowers and pure happiness. Watching my parents work so hard to provide for us taught me the value of determination and passion, and that’s carried into everything I do.
After realizing college wasn’t the right fit, I came home in and started working full-time as a surgical tech at a small animal clinic. In 2017, I met my fiancé — my biggest supporter — and in 2019, I launched Hailey G Photography LLC. While photographing weddings, I noticed how many brides wanted a one-stop shop, so I started offering floral design too in 2021. That’s how Hailey G Floral Co. LLC was born.
What began as a few arrangements on the side quickly turned into a full-blown business. Today, I design fresh and artificial florals for weddings, funerals, proms, and more — all from my home studio, which helps keep my prices affordable. I’m a one-woman band handling everything from design to delivery, and I truly love what I do. I owe it all to the good Lord, my parents for showing me what hard work looks like, and my fiancé for always believing in me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has been worth it. Starting a business from the ground up while working a full-time and part-time job was tough. There were late nights, early mornings, and plenty of moments where I wondered if I was in over my head.
Believing in myself was another hurdle — it’s easy to compare your work to others — but I’ve learned to stay true to my style and trust God’s plan. Working from home has its challenges, but it’s also been a blessing, allowing me to keep prices affordable and focus on what I love most: creating beautiful florals for my clients.
