Today we’d like to introduce you to Itzel Aguilera.
Hi Itzel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m Itzel but everyone knows me as Westchester Blogger. I am a cat-loving creative, adventurous soul with a passion for filmmaking, food, and lifestyle trends. Eight years ago I channeled those passions, skills, and knack for networking and making meaningful connections to bridge the gap between vendors and consumers. I create content to help and provide insight into, in and for the community. Westchester blogger investigates, discovers, and uncovers the real deal inside scoop on all the best spots in Westchester and beyond.
I was tired of having to travel into the city to have a good time. I knew that Westchester had amazing businesses that people needed to know about; so I began showcasing those local businesses in order to put Westchester on the map. It was a great way to give back to my community and the business owners were appreciative for the support, and recognition.
I had a desire to showcase and support local small businesses in Westchester County. I began dining at local restaurants and sharing their promotions and specialties with my audience. People began reaching out to me for recommendations and that really sparked my interest in covering all of “Westchester’s Best”. My vision is to see Westchester County’s small businesses receive the same recognition and support as the larger chains in NY receive.
It has been a great journey. I took a hobby and my passion for showing support to my community, and have been able to create a mutually beneficial business. My degree in videography allowed me to showcase my content creation skills, and offer the service of capturing everything from still shots of menu items, to drone footage of various locations.
I am doing what I truly love and my choice to freely give back and support others put me in a position to connect with people who showed me that my creativity was essential to promoting their businesses and increasing their exposure. That is how LePuff Productions was founded.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Getting small Businesses to see the power of social media and advertising and being consistent.
We’ve been impressed with Westchester Blogger Productions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a drone operator and cinematographer. I have my media company that I use to make videos for small Businesses to showcase them locally.
Ask host pop-ups in Westchester county. Where I get a venue and host 30-40 local small businesses under one roof. To allow exposure
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Being consistent! Networking, hosting events, using more than one platform.
