Today we’d like to introduce you to Martina Kolovich.
Martina, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey began at Georgia Tech, where I graduated with a degree in biology. At the time, I wasn’t certain about my career path but knew I wanted to work in the medical field. To explore my options, I shadowed various professionals, which ultimately led me to nursing. I returned to school, and after completing my training, I became an ICU nurse—a position I absolutely loved. However, as my husband’s job necessitated a move, I decided to further my education and pursue a career as a nurse practitioner.
While I initially had no specific direction upon graduation, I found myself working in dermatology, where I was first introduced to Botox. This sparked an entrepreneurial spirit within me, and I made the bold decision to leave my stable job and start concierge medical treatments from my home. Soon, it became clear that my partners and I needed a larger space to accommodate the growing demand for our services.
What began as a single room in my living room has now transformed into three offices with nearly 20 staff members. We are also excited to announce the opening of our first franchise location in Pooler this year. I attribute much of my drive and determination to the rigorous education I received at Georgia Tech, which instilled in me a “figure it out” attitude and pushed me to strive for excellence. This experience has not only shaped my career but has also empowered me to embrace challenges and pursue my passion.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey to opening my business was far from smooth. It took me about ten months to navigate the complexities involved in launching our office. One of the first major decisions was selecting a medical director, and I knew I needed a partner to share in this venture and help combat any feelings of isolation. Fortunately, my husband stepped up and agreed to serve as our medical director.
However, I still sought a passionate partner, and after discussing it with my husband, we decided to bring Janie Futch on board. She had worked alongside my husband in the OR, and I was drawn to her creativity and willingness to think outside the box.
During this planning phase, we faced numerous doubters. Many people believed we wouldn’t last more than a year and insisted that we needed expensive equipment and extravagant decor to succeed. However, our vision was to create a welcoming and accessible environment for our clients rather than one that was overly luxurious.
Through perseverance and a commitment to our core values, we stayed focused on our mission and this has shaped our unique identity in the market. While it hasn’t been an easy road, each challenge has only strengthened our resolve to build a practice that truly resonates with our community.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Honestly making videos and tape recordings with my girl friends. We would create dances or just skits that were so silly and fun.
