Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandi Robinson.
Hi Sandi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a proud Air Force veteran and a mother of two whose background began in emergency medicine. After serving my country and navigating the challenges of being a combat-disabled veteran, I decided to pursue a new path that still allowed me to help people—this time through beauty, confidence, and self-care.
I enrolled in the Paul Mitchell Esthetics program and graduated with a clear vision: to become a solo esthetician and build something of my own. From day one, I knew I wanted to create a safe, professional, and uplifting space where clients could trust me with their skin, feel confident in their own beauty, and enjoy personalized care.
Since launching my business, I’ve specialized in intimate waxing, corrective skincare, and brows. I’ve been recognized as one of the best in my area, recently receiving Lowcountry’s Best award for waxing. My proudest accomplishments include building a loyal client base from the ground up, creating my own product line, and showing my children what determination and resilience can create.
Looking ahead, I see my business continuing to grow as a premier esthetics studio in the region. My future goals include expanding my offerings in corrective skincare, teaching other estheticians, and creating a legacy brand that embodies empowerment, education, and excellence.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey was anything but easy. While attending esthetics school, I was still working full-time as a federal employee. Four nights a week for 9 months, I drove nearly 70 miles each way to make it to class from 5pm–10pm, often not getting home until close to midnight.
During that same season, I was going through a divorce and making sure I stayed present for my oldest son’s school events and evening football games. Balancing motherhood, a full-time job, and a demanding education was overwhelming at times, but I refused to give up.
Those sacrifices pushed me to stay focused on my bigger vision. They taught me resilience, time management, and perseverance—all qualities I now carry into running my business today.

Waxed By Sandi is more than just a waxing studio — it’s a space where confidence and care meet. While I specialize in Brazilian waxing and intimate area brightening, I also offer corrective facials and brows, creating a well-rounded menu of services that focus on both beauty and skin health.
What sets me apart is not just my technique, but the experience I create for my clients. I pride myself on being a mix of professional esthetician and personal cheerleader — helping clients feel comfortable, celebrated, and confident in their own skin. Every appointment is about more than just a service; it’s about empowering someone to leave my studio feeling like the best version of themselves.
I’m most proud of the fact that in a short time, Waxed By Sandi has grown into a trusted name in Beaufort, earning recognition like the Lowcountry’s Best award in waxing. My clients know me for my attention to detail, my commitment to education, and the safe, uplifting environment I’ve created.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending quiet time with my books and creative projects. I loved getting lost in stories, writing, and finding little ways to be creative — it gave me a safe space to dream, imagine, and express myself. Those moments shaped my love for detail, creativity, and the ability to see beauty in the small things, which still carry into the work I do today.
