Hi Shelli, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey with Stunning and Brilliant Events actually began long before I ever joined the team, I was first a bride. After having such a wonderful experience with S&B on my own wedding day, I couldn’t help but fall in love with the magic of it all. Soon after, I started working as a weekend assistant, just hoping to be a small part of creating that same joy for others.
Over time, what started as a part-time role turned into a true passion. I loved every detail, every couple, and every celebration we helped bring to life. That passion eventually led me to take a leap of faith and I began working full time, and later, I had the incredible opportunity to invest in a franchise and become an owner.
Being part of Stunning and Brilliant Events has been one of the greatest blessings in my life. It’s more than a career, it’s a calling to help people celebrate love, laughter, and the moments that matter most.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a business and learning the ins and outs definitely comes with its ups and downs, but I’ve been so fortunate to have the support and guidance of my fellow franchise owners and coworkers along the way. We truly work together to make things happen and to continue growing as a team. We embody the true spirit of a girl boss, strong, driven, and unstoppable
In the wedding and event industry, success is built on collaboration, not only with clients, but also with vendors and venues. Building strong relationships with other professionals is so important because we all share the same goal: to create beautiful, memorable events for our couples and clients.
Introducing myself and getting to know everyone in the industry has been such a rewarding process. I’m excited to continue connecting, learning, and growing alongside so many talented people who share the same passion for creating unforgettable moments.

Headquartered in Myrtle Beach, SC, it all started with a passion & a dream. Stunning & Brilliant Events is a LUXURY & EXPERIENCED full-service wedding and event planning company across the United States. We have been named best of The Knot weddings for over a decade and have been published in Southern Bride Magazine and featured on NBC Sports with over 50 publications and features, We have meticulously planned large corporate events, red carpet premieres, storybook weddings and intimate birthday celebrations including clients associated with Nascar, Waffle House, Dilmar Oil, Cheerwine, Tory Burch, Lauren Alaina, Domino’s Pizza, WWE, and Tanger Outlets. We work with some of the most respected vendors and rely on those relationships to ensure a seamless event.
S & B Events staff has planned over 1000+ weddings & events. Our main goal is to ensure you have a stunning day; whether it may be a wedding or your sweet 16 birthday party. We believe that by forming a close relationship with the client, we are able to understand their taste, style, and expectations for their special day. Our focus is to design an event that will reflect the couple’s unique personality and create everlasting memories.
S&B has 17 locations across the country and we are still growing!
What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, I’m so excited for what the future holds. This journey has already brought me so much joy, and I can’t wait to continue growing, not just as a business owner, but as a person. I look forward to building even stronger connections with our couples, vendors, and community, and to creating moments that people will remember for a lifetime.
What I love most about this work is the people, the laughter, the love stories, and the memories we help create. My hope is that one day my two daughters will share in this passion and work alongside me, continuing the legacy of love, creativity, and celebration that S&B represents.
My heart is full of gratitude for how far I’ve come, and full of excitement for everything still to come, for the memories we’ll make, the dreams we’ll bring to life, and the next generation who will carry it forward.
