Today we’d like to introduce you to Darian McCollough.
Hi Darian, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Founded originally by John and Virginia Duncan in 1982. John Duncan was a historian and professor at Armstrong College. The shop was orginally located on 12 E. Taylor st. and was run out of the garden level of their home. With 300,000 pieces of ephemera, we are considered the largest vintage print shop in Georgia.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Struggle, what struggle? All jokes aside, we are working hard to uphold the orginal owners lifelong legacy.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I personally do the researching and archival work for the shop, as well as management on the business side. I’m extremely passionate about art history with a specialty in mythology, ancient, and literary art. My goal is keeping this archive of history alive, and teaching people something new everyday!
What are your plans for the future?
To continue supporting the wants and needs of our clients, building connections and spreading our love of ephemera worldwide!
