Conversations with Desiree Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Desiree Davis.

Desiree, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my business by accident believe it or not back in 2014. I was listening to some music from my now business partner he was recording and made some recommendations.

Then I applied my banking background with learning the music side as a consultant scouting talent. I started to read and research previous industry A n R stories and documentaries along with Wendy’s Day and became intrigued. Then I just stepped out on faith and the rest is history.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not. Lol. Nothing worth having is ever easy. It’s been a struggle and a very tough road. Putting your fears aside and stepping away from a corporate industry that you’re comfortable in is always uncertain.

Having arguments with your family about pursuing your dreams, making decisions that affect not just you but your partners, financial decisions, establishing trust and continuous learning of an ever-evolving industry can make any person want to throw in the towel.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a consultant for TADA-7383 LLC. I specialize in finding Independent artists and producers and guiding them in establishing their business the right way. I help with their marketing, paperwork, legal representation, and networking events.

I’m most proud of our team for dancing in the rain even when our feet hurt. What sets me apart from others is my willingness to learn and stay loyal in the midst of adversity. Loyalty is something that isn’t taught. It’s either in your veins or it isn’t a code that I and my partners live by.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
I listen to a ton of inspirational videos such as Steve Harvey, TD Jakes, and Joyce Myers. I love books like The Magic of Thinking Big, TD Jakes Crushing It, and Think and Grow Rich. I also love The Alchemist and Warrior of the Light.

And of course The Bible.
