Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Curry.
Hi Morgan , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
This year, I’m celebrating my 10th year in the aesthetics industry, and when I look back, it’s incredible to see how every step shaped where I am today.
My foundation began in private practice plastic surgery, where I developed my true understanding of artistry, precision, and the comprehensive assessment of the aesthetic patient. That experience formed the backbone of how I practice. From there, I transitioned into advanced medical aesthetics, where my career accelerated quickly. I became the top-producing provider in my practice, driven by an intense commitment to education, patient outcomes, and constantly refining my skillset.
During that time, I sat for my Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) board certification — the highest credential in aesthetic nursing — just six days after my father tragically passed away. That season tested me in every way, but it also strengthened my resolve and deepened my commitment to this profession.
In 2024, my husband and I took a leap of faith and moved to Bluffton, South Carolina, without knowing a single person. I stepped into an opportunity to help build a new aesthetic practice and led the clinical growth, patient experience, and infrastructure. In a very short time, it became highly successful.
But eventually, I made the difficult decision to walk away from something I had poured myself into, with nothing to show for it. What followed were attempts to discredit me professionally and push me out of the space I had worked so hard to build. It was painful, but it was also clarifying. I remember thinking — this is my industry, and I’m not done yet.
What happened next changed everything. My phone and social media were flooded with patients asking where I was going and telling me they would follow me anywhere. One patient and local business owner called and reminded me that I had built something meaningful and encouraged me not to walk away from it.
In that moment, I realized that if I could build and grow someone else’s dream, I could build my own — and do it differently.
That’s how Refine Aesthetics was born.
I started with nothing but a vision, the support of my family, and the trust of my patients. Today, Refine has grown into a practice focused on advanced, regenerative aesthetics and natural, undetectable results. More than anything, it represents resilience, purpose, and the willingness to bet on yourself.
Because in the end, Refine wasn’t just the business I built — it was the moment I decided to finally build something of my own.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. The road has been anything but smooth.
One of the hardest struggles I faced was pouring everything into helping build a practice that wasn’t my own — developing the clinical protocols, building the patient relationships, and helping it become highly profitable — only to walk away with nothing. When I left, there were attempts to discredit me professionally and diminish the work I had done. It was one of the most painful and isolating periods of my life.
There were also situations that required me to seek legal counsel to protect my work, my brand, and my professional reputation. I experienced my branding, marketing approach, and even my clinical results and photographs being used in ways that did not reflect the reality of who performed the work. In aesthetics, your name is your credibility, and having to defend that was both exhausting and deeply disappointing.
At the same time, I was navigating personal grief after losing my father, raising my children, and trying to rebuild in a town where we had no established network or support system.
What made it even harder was starting over while people doubted whether I would succeed — and in some cases, expected me not to.
But those challenges became the defining turning point in my career.
They forced me to stop building for someone else and finally build something of my own.
Starting Refine Aesthetics was both terrifying and empowering. There was no safety net — only the belief that I could create something better. I was determined to build a practice rooted in integrity, transparency, and respect, and to create the kind of environment I had once needed myself.
Looking back, those struggles didn’t break me — they refined me. They taught me how to protect my vision, trust my instincts, and step fully into ownership of my future.
And in the end, rebuilding from nothing became the most powerful thing I ever did.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the founder and lead injector at Refine Aesthetics, where I specialize in advanced aesthetic injectables, regenerative treatments, and functional medicine. Everything we do is natural results-driven, with the goal of helping patients look like themselves at their absolute best — never overdone, never artificial.
What truly sets Refine apart is our comprehensive, three-tier approach: structure, skin, and cellular health.
The first tier is structural, using neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and biostimulatory treatments to restore balance and support the face in a way that is undetectable and harmonious. The second tier is skin rejuvenation, where we focus on improving skin quality, texture, and collagen production to restore healthy, youthful skin. The third tier is functional medicine, where we address internal factors like hormones, inflammation, and overall wellness — because what’s happening inside the body directly impacts how we age and how our skin responds.
By treating all three levels, we’re able to create results that not only look natural, but last longer and age more gracefully over time.
I’m most known for my restraint and my eye. Anyone can add volume, but true expertise is knowing when not to. My patients trust me because my approach is always honest, conservative, and rooted in what’s best for them long-term.
My background in plastic surgery and my board certification as a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist have given me a deep understanding of both the science and artistry behind this work, but what I’m most proud of is what Refine represents. It was built on trust, integrity, and the belief that patients deserve thoughtful, individualized care.
At the end of the day, what sets us apart is that everything we do is intentional and natural results-driven. We don’t change people — we help them come back to themselves.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
One of the first major risks I took was leaving a stable, successful position to move my family to Bluffton, South Carolina, without knowing a single person. We left behind security, relationships, and everything familiar because I believed there was a bigger future waiting for us here.
But the greatest risk came later, when I made the decision to walk away from a practice I had helped build and start over completely on my own.
I had no existing location. No financial safety net. No certainty of what would happen next.
What I did have was my reputation, my skillset, and the trust of my patients.
There were moments where it would have been easier to accept the loss and choose stability over uncertainty. Instead, I chose to bet on myself.
Starting Refine Aesthetics was the most terrifying and rewarding risk I’ve ever taken. I invested everything I had — emotionally, professionally, and financially — into building something I believed in.
I don’t view risk as reckless. I view it as necessary.
Growth doesn’t happen when things feel safe. It happens when you’re willing to step into the unknown and trust your ability to figure it out.
Every meaningful opportunity in my life has come from a moment where I could have stayed comfortable — but chose not to.
And looking back now, those risks didn’t just change my career.
They changed my life.
