Conversations with Sam Daly

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Daly.

Sam Daly

Hi Sam, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Subject to Change was formed by Savannah native Sam Daly in the fall of 2020. His band is based out of Milledgeville, Georgia. In the recent years, they have honed their talents and travel further and further from home with each week in pursuit of their craft.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not always been smooth. We have had multiple lineup changes and artistic disagreements. However, the lineup we have now is what we believe to be the best iteration of STC thus far.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am the lead singer as well as rhythm/co-lead guitarist.

It’s hard for me to say what I’m known for, but I’ve heard it described as gritty vocals and loud guitar.

I am very proud of the group that I have playing with me now. Our most recent addition on the drums came in the form of Devin Robinson. He has breathed new life into the group with his unapologetic rock drumming.

I believe that our tenacity and mix of backgrounds sets us apart from other bands in our scene. We’re all in our very early twenties and have a lot to prove.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Diversified Talent. We aren’t a group comprised of similar people. We all have our differences, but we choose to use them to our advantage.
