Hi Brenna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always loved to write and I  always loved the authentic, raw, and vulnerable parts of life that most people like to brush right past. For several years, I  kept a blog documenting my experience doing mission work and traveling around the world. The blog gave travel tips and advice, but it was also a place where I  could document the human connections and hard things we all experience every day in the world. While writing about deeply emotional topics, I  always wanted to uplift anyone who took the time to read. 
The blog was a passion project and a place to get all my thoughts out into the world. Then I found copywriting. I took a course called Write Your Way to Freedom that taught anyone how to turn a love of writing into a full-time job. Copywriting is writing with a specific goal in mind. To sell a product. To promote a business. And the beauty of writing copy, you ask? You learn the skills, and then you can use them however you want. I didn’t have to be a scammy salesperson and write to promote products I didn’t believe in. It could be whatever I wanted it to be.
With my business, Brenna Gallagher Agency, I use marketing and copywriting skills to promote businesses I really believe in. So far I have worked with some wonderful female entrepreneurs to promote their passion projects. I only work with people looking to do good for people or the planet.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I  am still navigating the bumpy road that is owning and building your own business. The biggest struggle currently is finding new clients that align with my values and see the value of my services for their own business. 
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have worked as a corporate event manager for about 8 years. Over the past 2 years I  have started building my copywriting business while still working full time. I  find that my skill set of organizing and creating events is the same skill set I  use to write copy for my clients websites or blogs. I listen to them, hear their vision. I  can see the passion inside of them of what they are hoping to do – what they dream of accomplishing with their business. I  take all that passion and vulnerable emotion and transform it into the words they couldn’t find. My job is to draw in like-minded individuals to their websites and give them that “holy crap! this is exactly what I  was looking for” moment. 
I’m proud of the relationships I have built with my clients. I believe in the work they are doing. Seeing that I created a piece of content (website, blog post, promotional flyer) that grows their mission and business makes me incredibly proud and want to keep doing what I’m doing.
I think my authentic desire for connection sets me apart. My business is all about helping people and ultimately uplifting them and their vision.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I  think that being good with people, being open and honest, is a key characteristic of success in the work I  do.
