Hi Dana, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey began three years ago, during a time when I was trying to reconnect with myself after feeling a bit lost in the whirlwind of motherhood. I turned to TikTok, where I started sharing content about motherhood, family travel, and life in my 30s. About six months in, I began to gain traction and build a small but engaged following. What started as a creative outlet quickly became a vibrant community and a fun hobby that reignited my passion.
As my audience grew, I put more effort into refining my editing skills. One day, I had an idea: what if I combined my love for content creation with my passion for travel? I reached out to some local Airbnbs, offering to create content in exchange for a stay. After all, I personally rely on social media to plan my own travels—I prefer watching videos of places over just reading about them. The concept quickly gained momentum, and I ended up collaborating with several Airbnb hosts. That’s when Eventful Creations & Marketing was truly born.
From there, I began to think bigger. I wondered how I could turn this creative passion into a side hustle—because let’s face it, we could all use a little extra income & a creative outlet. I started working with local businesses, producing content to help promote their services. I’ve always been the friend who documents everything—the one behind the camera, capturing moments to relive later. That sparked another idea: what if I became that friend for others during their biggest life moments?
That’s how my wedding content creation journey began. A year and a half in, I’ve had the honor of working with many incredible couples, and I’ve continued to hone my craft. My reputation has grown largely through word-of-mouth—many of my clients first saw me at a wedding I filmed or heard about me from friends of the bride and groom. It’s deeply rewarding to creatively capture one of the most meaningful days in someone’s life. I become their personal paparazzi, using professional lighting, microphones, equipment, and my phone to create beautifully edited highlight reels. Best of all, I deliver their content within 48 hours.
Today, I’m still growing as a content creator, now with a combined following of 75,000 across my platforms. I continue to improve my editing techniques and evolve as a wedding content creator. I’m also a wife, a proud mom of three amazing kids, and a passionate traveler. In addition to my creative work, I’m an aesthetic nurse injector at The Bluffs Med Spa—truly my dream job. I love making others feel confident in their skin & enhancing their beautiful features. I’ve recently taken on the role of managing their social media platforms as well, which has allowed me to further expand my knowledge of marketing.
Content creation and social media are evolving faster than ever, and I’m incredibly grateful for that very first TikTok video. It opened the door to so many exciting opportunities and fulfilling roles. TikTok is the reason Eventful Creations & Marketing exists, and I couldn’t be more thankful.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It can be tough to be on your feet and film a wedding for 10 hours and then edit for the next couple of days straight while also juggling being a wife, mom, and nurse but at the end of the day it’s rewarding and fun!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am so proud of the content I put out there for businesses and weddings. I have an eye for what looks good. I always think of myself as the media consumer and try to figure out what would capture me and keep my attention or as a bride what would I want to relive? There’s passion and thought behind my content and I hope it shows. I specialize in capturing a moment in time!
What does success mean to you?
Happiness, health & flexibility. Flexibility to be around for my family, to travel, & to truly live. You never know when your time will be up. I’m a big believer in living in the now. So my goal has always been to create a life I loved & to have jobs that didn’t feel like “work” & I believe I am finally achieving just that!
