Daily Inspiration: Meet Jessica Ramirez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Ramirez.

Jessica Ramirez

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started singing and playing acoustic guitar at my family’s restaurant Moon Doggie’s in Beaufort, South Carolina. After a few years of playing locally in Beaufort, I ended up moving to Savannah, Georgia. I started the a band called The Accomplices in 2008 and we had great success selling out music halls regionally and releases several albums. I’m playing mostly solo these days in the Savannah, and Hilton Head area. I really enjoy producing community concerts these days and recording and releasing music!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have had ups and downs as any artist will. Overall, I’ve had a pretty smooth sail. The last year has definitely been a high point!

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Professional singer/guitarist/producer

I perform full-time at venues, resorts, bars, and restaurants generally in Savannah and the South Carolina low-country

I produce concerts such as “A Tribute to John Prine”, “A tribute to The Band,” “Savannah Home Grown Holiday Hoedown.”

I record and produce music. I recently finished a bluegrass band called “Swamptooth” record and “Soap-Savannah” EP

What do you think about happiness?
Working with a creative collective on an artistic project is when I’m the most happy!

Also, getting to wind down in some of my favorite places like Western, NC mountains or on the beach at Tybee
