Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Reid.
Hi Justin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Honestly, I can say it is truly God who is giving me the ability to be where I am today. I cannot count any credit for what and how he’s giving me certain opportunities, places, and spaces. Blowing up on social media and going viral consistently was never a part of my plan I was truly just being, “myself”.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life itself is a rugged Road and truly it’s a matter of whether we can stay consistent on the road even when we know it’s rough or find another route. Personally my life has never been a smooth road, but through the help of God, prayers and stay consistent.. I found that his path is the greatest of them all.
Struggles that I’ve had to overcome was being humble, but not belittling myself. Greatness is in each one of us truly is but we must know that, but not dumb down who you are for the sake of others and their insecurities. Being who I am comes with a lot of backlash and silent backlash, but I’ve simply learned to count it all joy.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a preacher and singer. I am known for giving encouragement to many through laughter. I believe it is one of the biggest connections that we all have, but also incorporate laughter and the word of God together to bring peace to the world.
This makes me happy to simply know that I am helping someone who feels no hope or sees no hope. Having the ability to turn someone’s day around when they truly did not think it would get better.
Your standards in life makes you different what you decide to allow and what you decide not to allow. I believe that’s what makes us all different and I believe through the foundation of being Christ centered makes me set apart from others.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
From the time I could remember, I’ve always been called “church” or “crazy” (funny) and growing up I’ve learned to evolve into this person without any reservation or apology. I remember growing up getting on my mom‘s keyboard, and I would Fram and Fram and holler and sing. It’s quite funny because you’re looking at an eight-year-old boy who was just happy about life. I’ve always been the one to stand out, love people, and truly love to serve in every capacity of my life.
